FOUND ON ROAD DEAD - BIG ASS TRUCK I.E.
Score: 4/5 - Put This In Your Rotation
Hardcore · Released October 20th, 2026 · Nuclear Blast Records
It’s loud, it’s fast, and it’s a blast - it’s BIG ASS TRUCK I.E.! FOUND ON ROAD DEAD is the type of Hardcore that got me into the scene after I shifted from Punk Rock. This EP is no bullshit, all killer, no filler. It’s packed with fat breakdowns that demand big pits and walls of death, and the band clearly has fun that’s infectious as you listen. I’m really impressed that the band pulled off a Hardcore release that taps into the old primal sound of the genre, but it doesn’t sound like shit or like it was recorded in a tin can. Despite my love for those OG shit recordings, the production here is welcome. As I always like to make note of, there is no sterile production here. Everything sounds raw and not over-processed. The sound bites are a fun addition (I mentioned in a previous review how I’m a sucker for these). I just miss fun and dumb shit like that in Metal!
There isn’t a whole lot more I can really say about a 10-minute EP except that you need to just turn it on if you want to have a good time and like Hardcore music. Now that I had a chance to listen to the band, I’m pissed that I wasn’t able to get into Furnace Fest sooner the day the band performed. I was still stuck in line to get in when the band started. I would have had a blast! Check this EP out. You’ll have a stank face during the breakdowns, and a smile the rest of the time!
