Too Much and Never Enough - Lauren Babic
3.5/5, Hey, This Kinda Slaps. A capable debut EP that shows off Lauren Babic’s vocal range and leaves room for sharper songwriting next time.
Tsunami Sea - Spiritbox
5/5, Masterpiece. A darker, more experimental sequel to Eternal Blue with Courtney LaPlante’s best vocal performance yet. Grab a life jacket.
This Consequence - Killswitch Engage
3.5/5, Hey, This Kinda Slaps. A heavy, aggressive second half can’t fully make up for a lackluster first half and formulaic cleans. Skip ahead and buckle up.
AntiFragile - All That Remains
2.5/5, Not For Me But Not Atrocious. After seven years away, All That Remains return with overwrought guitars, strained vocals and thin production. Not the reunion I was hoping for.
Thrill Seeker: 20th Anniversary - August Burns Red
4/5, Put This In Your Rotation. ABR reimagine their debut with better production and vocals without losing what made it a classic. Nostalgia, now in HD.
